About San Francisco Young Democrats

San Francisco Young Democrats (SFYD) is a passionate group of young people between the ages of 18 and 35 who work to promote the interests of San Franciscans 35 and under. We are young profesionals, students, legislative staff, and organizers who believe it isn't just going to be our city someday, we believe it's our city right now.

As the largest young democrat club in California and one of the largest clubs in San Francisco we work to ensure that our elected officals hear the perspectives of our membership which is why it is not uncommon for elected and appointed city officials to come speak and answer questions at our monthly meetings.

If your between 18 and 35, have an interest in SF politics or city government then we want to meet you. Come to one of our monthly meetings which you can find here

As a former young Dem at Maryland (started 1967) who worked on the Robert Kennedy campaign I thought I would give you a thumbs up on your group. I also am looking for some support in sending a link that I describe in the following note to anyone who is sickened by the Tea Party. I am a 65 year old unemployed engineer (laid off last January) whose unemployment just ran out. My wife and I had to sell our house in May ($185,000 short sale) and move into a rental to survive. I designed a T-shirt that we wore to the Rally to Restore Sanity last October that I think would speak volumes to the Tea Party extremists. Please check it out at http://www.cafepress.com/CHASEOnlineProducts and let me know what you think. Any sales would assist my wife & me in having a better Christmas for our 6 kids, 6 grand-kids and 2 great-grand-kids. Thanks
