Featured Speakers for 2017 Ball in Blue

Are you ready to dance in the face of devastation coming out of DC? Plot the next steps of the resistance? SFYD's 11th annual BALL IN BLUE: Our Existence is Resistance is this Thursday, Sept 7th!

We have four great speakers lined up that will talk about how SF and CA continue to lead the nation for progressive policy. Supervisors Sandra Lee Fewer and Hillary Ronen will speak about the work being done today in San Francisco on housing, bail reform, homelessness, immigration defense and more. Sam Altman (Y Combinator, The United Slate) and Michael Eggman (Red to Blue California) will speak towards their initiatives to replace GOP congressmen with progressive democrats in 2018.

Learn about The United Slate, an initiative to solidify CA as the nation's progressive model on issues like affordable housing, clean energy & healthcare for all.   After narrowly losing to Republican Rep. Denham (CD10 - the closest swing district to SF) in 2016, Eggman started a PAC to oust CA Congressional Republicans.

6 months into her first term, Sup. Fewer has fought for immigration defense, affordable housing, better public transport & more.   Sup. Ronen has made housing and homelessness key priorities for her first term. She's tackling SF's unjust bail system next.
